Description |
Minna Canth (1844 - 1897) was a Finnish author, playwright, journalist, business woman and social activist. Minna Canth's Day became an official Finnish flag-raising day in 2007, which makes her the first woman to receive an "own flag day" in Finland.
The statue of Minna Canth made by the sculptor Lauri Leppänen in 1951, is erected in Hämeenpuisto, in Tampere.
