4 dl blood* 4 dl milk 4 dl barley flour 1 egg 1 tbs dark syrup ½ tsp salt dash of white pepper dash of marjoram butter for frying
*Bottles of blood for cooking can be found from the frozen food section of the grocery shops in Finland.

Recipe Cooking and Preparation Method |
|
Mix the blood and milk together in a mixing bowl. Add the barley flour whilst constantly stirring. Add the egg, syrup and seasonings. Cover the bowl and set aside for 30 minutes.
Brown the blood pancakes on a greased pancake griddle (2 to 3 minutes on each side). |
